A:  No, summit participants will not earn college credit.  However, the summit would be an excellent opportunity to improve your resume for applying to college, to broaden your horizons, to form friendships with like-minded people from diverse backgrounds, and to make a positive change in your world.

Q:  Can you tell me more about the International Day of Peace?

A:  The International Day of Peace was established by the United Nations General Assembly in 1981 for “commemorating and strengthening the ideals of peace within and among all nations and people” and it is observed every year on September 21.  For the 2010 International Day of Peace, The UN chose the theme "Youth, Peace and Development".  It is in this spirit that this summit will bring together the voices and ideas of young people from around the world.
